Decided to spend the day learning WordPress FSE. Trying to create a basic theme with some patterns to see how everything works.

Finally, planning everything I need to start posting content related to web dev. Being a trainer for many years means I already have lots of content. I still need to convert it to start posting it online. The work starts now, and I will keep updating here on Twitter.

Raining outside. Decided to take the afternoon and create my first design with tailwind css. Let's see if can create anything good. 😀

Laravel 11 is out. It has been available since last week, so I decided to install and play with it. By default, it now comes with SQLite. I want to create a small content site and I'm thinking of going with Laravel.

Just noticed that x.com is gone. Already redirecting to x.com and user sessions were kept alive. It seems like a good migration. I haven't seen any problems so far.

There are too many people going to Bsky, so I decided to be more active there. I will still be here primarily. To find people that I follow here, I decided to use skyfollowerbridge.com . It works well, and I am now following many accounts there that I also follow here.

Decided to spend a couple of hours updating code from an old website, from 1996. I just want to keep it online on archive format but code is way too old. One of the first content sites that I've launched and was abandoned later on. Using cursor to speed things up.

Decided to take the day to create new servers and migrating from the old ones. Many of them have already too much uptime. Also finally installing Ubuntu 24.04

While creating a new vps on Hetzner, decided to test ploi. I'm a longtime user of Runcloud to help manage servers but decided to try new things. First Ploi :)

I subscribed to a premium account here on X and was paying 8 euros per month. Now I noticed that last month it dropped to 7 euros per month. Anyone noticed this? Price going down is always nice😄

In short, after a couple of days testing Ploi with new servers, everything is working great.👍 Decided to start using a different SSH key for each device I use to login to servers. Till now I was always using the same keys and copying them to each device I used. Not anymore.

31 years ago today, Netscape Navigator 1.0 was released.

HTML 3.2 was the big one for me. Still remember what was going on the web with browser wars and W3C come and sorted everything out. Elements like <blink> and <marquee> were removed from the web at that moment. In the end of that year, I started teaching HTML. Great memories
