Despite period products being available 80% of girls in Tanzania are unable to afford and purchase the period products. When these girls are able to access a product that can offer a longer lasting solution, it joy and sooo much joy! #Salama_Pads #END_PERIOD_POVERTY

In Tanzania, the average annual cost of having a period Tsh 72000 ie USD 31.5. Affording period product each month is impossible for Low-income families who find it hard to even afford basic needs. Reusable menstrual towels help reduce the period cost by >95% for households

Myths, misconceptions and taboos around menstruation have made girls transition into puberty with shame, fear and anxiety, Period shame has negative mental effects. It disempowers women, causing them to feel inadequate and embarrassed about a normal biological process. #SalamaPad

As a young girl, i suffered low self-esteem following my terrible menstrual experience, Today i teach girls about menstruation, guiding them and empowering them into great women who will lead the future
