Hoping for some answers tomorrow at the oncologist but I fear we may have to stop his treatments… 😔.

A dose of un-staged #reallife: This is where I’m working + sleeping) trying to get the website ready for tomorrow’s spring launch. Everything in me wants to just say screw it but I’m gonna get it done because there is no telling how I’ll feel after his 10AM appointment. 🧡

I lost my once in a lifetime today. I am crushed. 💔

I don’t yet have the words to describe the pain I am feeling with you gone. With time, they will come. But what I can do (and will) for the rest of time is talk about the many blessings you brought into my life. I’ll start with these three…

From the day we first locked eyes, to holding you as you took your last breath, and everything in between. You were mine and I was yours. You found me before I even found myself. You saw me for me, and loved me like I was enough, even then, when I was young, wide-eyed + carefree.

Unconditional love. It’s something I learned from you. A kind of love that has no walls. A love that never allows you to feel alone. A love with no judgement. A love with no ego. A love that inspired me grow, but would love me just the same if I didn’t. Every. Single. Day.

A love that needed no words because it was translated through energy, so palpable— even though I swear you could talk. Our love transcends time and space, which is why I can still feel you here even though your bed is empty. Unwavering.

Comfort. You’ve seen me through some hurtful times, some shameful, some scary, some uncertain, some sick. But you never wavered. You never left my side, rather you’d cling to it extra tight.

You always knew. Your soulful eyes would look at me, beckoning me in to wrap my arms around you, nuzzle my face into your ears and instantly melt away my heaviness. My fears were no match when I knew I’d have you by my side to face (or run from) them. You knew that’s what I did.

Adventure. Man, did we adventure. We did the big adventures like solo camping in the mountains of CO, roadtrips out west and spending entire afternoons at the hot springs. The small adventures were just as special and we made it a priority to find them in every day.

You taught me that. Our daily walks to the park, finding a cool stick or a new tree to smell, hunting for balls, running errands— it didn’t matter what because my greatest adventure was you. It will always be you. I adore you.

I feel awful moving forward with LOT without Tuck by my side, but I need to. He is + always will be my inspiration. Though he’s no longer here, there are still so many dogs that get to benefit from his luck because of our donations to dog rescues! I promise to make you proud bud!

The time y’all have been taking to send me comforting words + love has really meant so much. I am finally going to start working on some open orders today, so look out for some shipping notifications by the end of the week. 🧡
