RF: I would benefit by teaching fewer games but in greater depth turning them into automatic routines. It would support TL use more than trying to teach many games. I am also going to reflect further on replacing or gamification of some additional class activities. #earlylang

A1: My language learning experience in HS and college was based on collections of rules, structures and vocabulary lists. I had to seek my own opportunities to build proficiency. I was relieved when I learned the dif between learning and acquiring as it applies to SLA. #langbook

Q2: When BVP says: "language is too abstract and complex to teach," to me it means we are free from direct grammar instruction. We are free to engage students in in topics of their interest using sheltered vocabulary composed of high utility structures. #langbook

A3: The concept of accuracy is a struggle for me. Clearly students need accuracy but when they are as young as mine and we see each other 1x wkly I do not like to correct in order to improve accuracy. I want them to feel safe to produce, then negotiate meaning after. #langbook
