The Igbo Bible was written and translated by rev. Taylor, a freed slave of Igbo origin and not ajayi crowther.
Rev. Taylor, and some freed slaves of Sierra Leone origin were the first missionaries to teach the Igbo how to read and write, stationed in Onitsha.
