Recording life's moments with good video and music~Very happy to have had the chance to share my research in Nanjing University again this year, and to bring my parents along to explore the beautiful Nanjing/Yangzhou area. Great to have my previous visiting PhD student's company.

Final days in Montreal~research, soccer, and sunshine

It is sad to leave beautiful Montreal at the end of this month, after 3 years of working here. Most of my favorite memories have of course been with my soccer ball in different corners of the city.

1st game back to the top division!

During the past week I finished the transition from Montreal to joining University at Buffalo School of Management as a faculty member. I truly enjoyed my three years of working in Montreal, thanks for the memories HEC Montréal. Looking forward to the new adventure in Buffalo.

This past weekend the finance and accounting departments of University at Buffalo School of Management hosted the 34th CFEA conference (management.buffalo.edu/faculty/academ…). Really impressed by the program my colleagues put together and it was great to welcome some old and new friends to my new home!

Morning run in Venice with my old running shoes~no soccer ball? no problem.

I travel for work a lot so I often have dinner alone at restaurants. The only two times that I ever felt a bit awkward were both in Italy. "One person? No problem. Don't worry, be happy" 😂 In cozy small town Parma and romantic Venice. I guess I have myself to blame.

Happy to be in Parma for the weekend again. Two years in a row I've been able to make it to a Parma Calcio 1913 game, thanks to visiting positions in Italian universities.

Happy to have a warm Buffalo again and wrapping up the teaching season.

It has been a stressful semester so jumping out of an airplane from 13,000 feet over the Niagara Falls seems like a good idea.

Finally finished a whole semester of teaching and headed to the airport to fly home, only to find that my seat selections got removed and after chatting with an agent for 1 hour I still didn't get my seats confirmed... I have gold membership with Qatar Airways by the way... 🤮
