No one is above the law. For two decades, Justice Thomas failed to report millions in gifts. Today, we asked DOJ to investigate Thomas for violating the Ethics of Government Act of 1978. We are joined by Ranking Members Nadler & Raskin, and Judiciary Members Lieu & Hank Johnson.

People need to take what’s happening in academia much more seriously. Education control is a major step in fascism. This isn’t some ivory tower problem esp because state universities are much more at risk of control

This was Jaahnavi Kandula, 23. She was a masters student in Seattle supporting a single mother in India. In January, she was killed by a police cruiser going 50 MPH through an intersection. Hours later, the VP of the police union was laughing about her death on a phone call.

12 of the last 15 government shut downs have happened under a GOP President & 15 of the last 15 government shut downs have happened while the GOP controlled the US House. Remember folks, Republicans claim government doesn't work—then they get elected & prove it. Vote GOP out.

Oh, inflation is at a generational high? Odd that corporate profits are also the highest they've ever been. Must be a coincidence. Probably should ignore that part.

If we can afford wars, we can afford to cancel student debt. If we can afford wars, we can afford Medicare for All. If we can afford wars, we can afford tuition-free college. Let’s invest in people the way we invest in the military industrial complex.

UNICEF strongly condemns the strike on the Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza with hundreds of civilians reported killed & injured. We call for the protection of all civilians, including children & the infrastructure they rely on. We need an immediate ceasefire & humanitarian access.

Bulldozers may soon destroy a tiny wildlife refuge that holds 89% of the world's population of endangered Zapata bladderpod wildflowers. DHS waived the Endangered Species Act in 2020 to build border wall roads, stripping all protections for the species. President Donald J. Trump must stop this.

In 1959, police were called to a segregated library when a Black 9-year-old boy trying to check out books refused to leave, after being told the library was not for Black people. The boy, Ronald McNair, went on to became an astronaut. The library is also now named after him.

Relieved to see this basic, known fact finally reported on the most mainstream American news. Hate to think of behind-the-scenes negotiations it took to get this on the air.

In the novel Fahrenheit 451, the abolition of reading began with tech companies simplifying books into summaries that you could read in five minutes. Because people no longer engaged with the texts, they forgot how to think. Then came the book-burnings.
