Today our Ss along with Chesapeake Bay Foundation planted trees behind our school! We are continuing to learn the importance of trees!

Mr. Bee made his first appearance in Kindergarten today! We practiced coding him to find the lost turkeys. Once we found the turkey, we practiced listening to the ending sound of the picture. Ss can’t wait to try it again tomorrow. #coding #mountrockengaged

Today we celebrate!! We made it to 100 days of school. These kinders have grown so much, so we celebrated! We built with 100 cups, we completed 100 exercises, we had 100 pieces of snack, we counted, and we also celebrated outside with the beautiful ☀️ and wrote 100 words!!

Happy International Cochlear Implant Day! Konner was implanted almost 8 years ago. So grateful for the amazing technology that allows him to hear, stream music, communicate and so much more. Keep striving and dreaming big. #InternationalCochlearImplantDay

These kinders explored the stream at our beautiful cross country course and determined if it was healthy/not healthy. We also searched for animal habitats and brainstormed ways to help keep our streams healthy and animals safe. #outdoorlearning #bssdproud

What a beautiful Fall day!! Today during Outdoor Classroom, we learned about deciduous and conifer trees. Students collected different leaves to compare and contrast their attributes. We discussed how important trees are for us, animals and nature. We love learning outdoors.

These kinders are gearing up for #marchmadness2023!!! We were tapping out CVC words, reading high frequency words and draining 3’s. We also had a few slam dunks! Love their excitement while learning!! #bssdproud #mountrockengaged
