Another very busy Heritage Open Days yesterday, here at the museum, where our special Scots Fisher Girls exhibition is drawing lots of attention. We had an impromptu visit from Carol Ayers whose memories of the Fisher Girls is featured in our exhibition, and chatted with visitors.
Tarkaman ACIRO 🇪🇺 East Suffolk Lines For Heritage Open Days Lowestoft along with Lowestoft Central we are presenting a special exhibition on the much missed #Lowestoft - #Yarmouth Railway in the Parcels Office at Greater Anglia #Lowestoft station. Open daily 10am - 4pm until Sunday. Admission Free.
This Saturday is the penultimate day of this years Heritage Open Days Lowestoft and thanks to the E A Transport Museum & Wherry Lines Lowestoft Central we have a FREE Heritage Bus Service connecting our top four museums and HODS events around the town. The museums are all open FREE of charge too!
Free vintage bus service courtesy of E A Transport Museum connecting Lowestoft Maritime , RNPS and Lowestoft Museums with the station and Transport Museum is running today with all museums offering free admission. Service runs every 30mins.

It’s been our & Wherry Lines final day of Heritage Open Days Lowestoft events. Today our volunteers staffed the festival info hub, chaperoned swing bridge tours, hosted #Lowestoft - #Yarmouth Railway & Wherry Lines Posters exhibitions & held a Walk & Talk on Lowestoft station during the wars.

Today along with Lowestoft Central we hosted another day of tours of #Somerleyton Swing Bridge on the Wherry Lines as part of Heritage Open Days Lowestoft thanks entirely to the kindness of the bridge operators and signalling & operations team at Network Rail Anglia
