Absolutely drained after a day of interviews on PIP reform. It’s so bloody infuriating to have to keep explaining: this is NOT an unemployed benefit; it is NOT easy to claim; and disabled people are NOT living the life of Riley on this benefit. Far from it.

The people who work at polling stations are so nice! That encouraging smile they give, makes you feel really proud of yourself!

One of these men could be the next Prime Minister. But neither of them mentioned disability once in the election debate. So this is our message to all parties: 📢 Disabled people must not be ignored in this election.

Very proud of the Local Disability Data Map team Scope have created. It shares disabled people's experiences by constituency. Use it to send info to your parliamentary candidates and get them to prioritise disability. 🗳 scopedisabilitymap.org.uk

I may be biased but I think this voxpop brilliantly explains the extra costs that millions of disabled people have to deal with, and why it has to stop.

We thought we'd help the new Prime Minister out with his day 1 to-do-list ✅ Because progress on disability equality can't wait. It's time for the new government to listen to disabled people. And to take this opportunity to build much-needed trust.

Absolutely love all the “first day in Parliament” photos. Everyone looking so smiley and optimistic, much better than the usual soul destroying stuff on here!

There are at least one million disabled people who want to work and can do so with the right support. We’ve called on the new Government to make that support available and open up new opportunities for disabled people.

Great to see this new campaign launch with so much support from across the sector. Scope we know that life costs more for disabled people and that the benefits system is in urgent need of reform.

Today at #LabourConference we Scope have launched our new Price Tag. On average, disabled households need an additional £1,010 a month to have the same standard of living as non-disabled household. inews.co.uk/inews-lifestyl…

It's time for the government to tackle the Disability Price Tag. It can use next week's budget to: 💡 Introduce discounted energy bills for disabled households. 🏠 Expand the Warm Homes Discount. 💷 Fix our broken benefits system. Email your MP today 👇 campaigns.scope.org.uk/page/157007/ac…

About a million disabled people want to work and today’s white paper offers lots of support. But those who can’t work will be anxious about what this means for them, and the benefit changes that will come next year

Good to speak to C4 News today. Labour’s ‘Back to work’ plan is positive news for disabled people who want to work, but others will be worried about being pushed into unsuitable jobs just to bring down the benefits bill. channel4.com/news/what-is-l… via Paul McNamara
