The job of a GP is now impossible ; underfunded understaffed and overwhelmed with workload. DoH head in the sand and offering a real cut in funding. Patient care suffering and staff stressed and leaving

GPs and BMANI-GP are 100% with patients on this and are desperately battling to provide a better service. He is bizarrely picking a fight not just with GPs, but with all patients struggling for access to a starved and depleted service

Alan Stout BMANI-GP He is attempting to misinform and prey on our vulnerable, weary and tired public that GPs are the enemy and direct all abuse to them. The 115 calls to the GP in question is because of a depleted and financially unsustainable model and trying to make them look mutually exclusive?

Cool FM News Mike Nesbitt I would urge anyone watching this to remind themselves of the fact YOUR GP rejected this proposal with the patient care at the forefront of their minds. The same can’t be said for this guy. He is now, rather cleverly, trying to direct you into blaming your GP for this. It’s him

Alan Stout BMANI-GP He has got this very very wrong. How strange he decries patients needing to phone hundreds of times to gets through, but says NOTHING re. underlying reasons for this - insufficient staff & doctors. Yet thinking if they shout louder GPs can magically spawn more appointments.

Cool FM News Mike Nesbitt Wow, what an interview! Has completely missed all the issues in General Practice....feeding into the narrative that GPs do not work. Surely has more understanding than that unless it's a clever move to deflect.....

Alan Stout (@alanstout19) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I have never, ever seen anything like this in all my years in the NHS and in medical politics. Astonishing, breathtaking, disrespectful and dangerous. I really fear for our future

Richard Kirk (@rtkirky) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Alan Stout Mike literally said yesterday that his GP saved his life. Demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the issue- many more practice closures to come…

Aidan O'Neill (@dr_aon) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The fact they’ve phoned 115 times should be a clue as to why the service is at breaking point… 99.6% of our amazing GPs can’t be wrong, we need to listen to them and give them the support/funding the service requires.

Alan Stout Anyone in the future who ends up having to pay for their GP should go back to this moment. Pure malice in that today, shocking. 200000 consultations per week and still not enough!!!

Matthew Doré (@bathmatt) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Cool FM News Mike Nesbitt very confused. GP-'We are at breaking point&need more money to stand still' - MN-'well if u want money, i want to know what extra new services u will supply?' - GP-'you dont understand, we r failing, we need money to survive' - MN-'well i cant get though to my GP'. GP-'exactly??'

GPs in Northern Ireland are on their knees They are trying really hard to improve services for patients Yet the government declined a request for 11p per day per patient to improve services Who’s to blame for poor services? Simply it’s not GPs is it? Mike Nesbitt BMANI-GP

Thanks for your support Dr Steve Taylor . Looking at the positives, there is no simpler and quicker way to both enrage but also to unify GPs than he has managed to do. We’ll always stand up for our colleagues and our patients

There are only 5,000 full-time farmers in Northern Ireland and not all of them disagree with Andrew Muir's nitrate reduction proposals. The hold the rest of them have over our politics, and our environment, is ridiculous.

Dr Haseena Wazir Rachel Reeves Exactly & also all those GPs like my son, struggling to get a permanent job after all their training/loans etc. For goodness sake Wes Streeting please address this!
