RAP (Rangeland Analysis Platform) released new map layers with data from 2023. Over the past year, 20K visitors have used over 30 years of data in the interactive mapping tool to support grazing, fire, invasive species, and drought management. rangelands.app

The new BLM Climate & Remote Sensing Data Reports portal is live at reports.climateengine.org and features two report types: ☀️ Drought - Updated every 5 days using multi-indicator drought blends 🌿 Site Characterization - Updated yearly using satellite-based vegetation indicators

Isaacks Lake playa, a small ephemeral lake in the Jornada Basin located just south of the Jornada, filled for the first time in several years after 1.25 inches of rain over weekend. Lake (usually dry) can be seen from Jornada Rd just before reach the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Park
