Dr. Allen was my first mentor in nsgy, and his wife and daughters endowed this chair in his name. Yesterday we celebrated his incredible legacy.

Good take on this hot topic.

To eliminate 24 hour shifts we would have to double the work force. Training would be years longer and pay would be reduced. There is no evidence that outcomes would be better. Find me a neurosurgeon who likes that idea.

Thank you Journal of Neurosurgery for publishing our work examining the average # of pre-residency pubs amongst #neurosurgery applicants. Key finding: for the most recent class, the median # of pubs was 5, offering a meaningful reset to the idea that applicants must have numerous pubs to #Match .
