Here is one final, truly spectacular twist. Apatite, the main constituent of #LK99, is often mistaken for other minerals. In fact, it was named for this property. In Greek, ἀπατάω means “to deceive.” The end!

LK-99 replication has fallen from ~40% to ~20% since the weekend.

Prof Awana of CSIR NPL has put his thoughts on #LK99 in the Facebook post. He said he had a conversation with Sukbae Lee and Hyun-Tak Kim, and found them very cooperative. He is very hopeful for the replication and thinks that LK99 to be a real superconductor.
