Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump. Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.

Democrats aren’t asking for anything unreasonable on ICE reforms. We’re just asking that they be held to the same standards as local law enforcement. Donald Trump and Kristi Noem shouldn’t be able to command a secret, masked police force.

Damage caused by Operation Metro Surge doesn’t disappear just because it’s ending. Families were torn apart. Small businesses lost millions. Students’ learning was disrupted. We’re focused on supporting our neighbors & businesses as we move forward. They need us more than ever.

This is unacceptable, offensive, and wrong. Not one more dollar for an out of control, reckless, dangerous agency that is violating people’s rights daily.

ICE is the 13th largest military force in the world by funding. They’re using their budget to put untrained and unaccountable agents into our communities and detain five year olds. It is not making our communities – or our country – safer. We must demand accountability
