Marine Conservation Society State of our Beaches 2023 is out - thanks to over 14,000 amazing volunteers 480,000 litter items did not pollute the sea.
The message is loud and clear: regulation works - we need Deposit Return Systems, circular economy measures and investment in sewage infrastructure.
Evidence our Marine Conservation Society beach cleans (carried out by brilliant staff & volunteers across the UK) really help to gather data to push for change ๐๐๐ช Together, we can help protect our environment โค๏ธ๐งก๐๐๐๐

Scotland's islands face a daily battle against the tides of pollution washing up on their shores. We're excited to be working with Scottish Islands Federation on a new #CitizenScience project to tackle this. We'll be working with local communities to clean beaches and collect important data
