This is not going to be the regular holiday season – from Thanksgiving through New Year’s. We have to get into a different mindset for the next six weeks, and put our health and the health of our loved ones before our want to party. We need to safely make it into 2021.

Was in Walmart the other day and saw a woman wearing 1 glove. After she checked out at the register, she proceeded to use hand sanitizer and rubbed it in using her exposed hand AND the gloved hand... what was the point?! 🤦‍♀️

Me: *Feels bad for gentleman who tells me his shoulder is killing him and has agonizing pain when working out* Him: *Posts video performing single-arm front delt raises using a 45lb plate* .....🤦‍♀️

Another semester of PT school is officially in the books, and this girl begins her first clinical rotation on Monday! Any tips to help prepare for this unknown and nerve-wrecking time?!

Today I wrote and signed my first ever patient daily note! I know this may seem like a small accomplishment to some, but I am ecstatic to finally be in the position to guide patients through their POC.

Oh, and another big victory... I showed my CI some additional intervention ideas I typed up last night, and she responded with “wow, I’ve never had a student come so prepared before!” 😭 Such a confidence boost!

The PSS at my affil took me aside and said “Liz... I have to tell you. Out of all my years working in this office and seeing other students come and go, I would have never guessed that this was your first clinical experience. You are doing a great job.” My heart exploded ❤️

There have been so many special people who have said such kind words to me during my affil. Today was just one of the moments I wanted to share ❤️

Called my dentist office asking to reschedule an appt bc of upcoming exams, and afterwards she said “good luck on your midterm!” 😭

We make up 50% of every relationship we’re in. This is especially helpful to remember during challenges in our relationships. When we focus on our 50% vs. the other person’s 50%, our relationships improve. The only person we can change is ourselves.
