Thank you to Adenike B. and Christina Adane for speaking at the #Hunger2Health launch this morning, and explaining so compellingly why we need 🇬🇧 action on malnutrition and global health
Really disappointing that despite a new law on safe zones being passed 6 months ago, we have seen no action from Home Office to bring it into force. As we can see👇women & healthcare providers are still being subject to harassment & abuse. We need this dealt with immediately.
Very sad news about Igor Judge, and a huge loss to House of Lords His wisdom will be greatly missed. As will his generosity and patience in sharing his knowledge and experience.
The UK has been listening to Small Island Developing States, now it’s time to act. This week at United Nations SIDS4, Member States adopted a new 10-year Agenda for SIDS to guide action on access to finance, the climate, oceans and biodiversity. More from our team in 🇦🇬 and Permanent Mission of Samoa to the UN. 👇
Powerful presentation from Dr Dr Sania Nishtar on the life-saving successes of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance in recent years. More than 1 billion children have been vaccinated since Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance launched 20+ years ago - important that 🇬🇧 continues to support their crucial work. #ForOurFuture #VaccinesWork
👇The results of UK public support and Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office matched funding - 175,000 sq m of land cleared of mines and released back to the community, now being used to safely grow food and for sustainable development. Thank you to MAG (Mines Advisory Group) and all those that donated #UKAidMatch
Children living in conflict zones are twice as likely to be malnourished as those in stable areas. Baroness Sugg calls for adaptable and resilient nutrition programmes to be used, through mechanisms such as the Child Nutrition Fund, to mitigate further harm to health 👇
#yogagoals Adriene Mishler you have to show this to Benji….
Some really positive progress by The Global Fund in 2023 on HIV, TB and Malaria, plus important work on health systems strengthening, gender equality and addressing the health impacts of climate change. These results show the importance of 🇬🇧 staying a strong supporter The Global Fund
