Avatar Fire and Ash was incredible. Might even be my favourite film of the year over One Battle After Another. Frankly did not expect to like it as much. Watching it on IMAX 3D was worth it

Finished Mirror's Edge. Felt weird playing this after Catalyst. On the one hand the movement system had more to offer here, although acceleration needed time. But the awful gunplay and combat sections bogged it down, especially in "The Boat". Overall a fun 3-4 hour game.

New TV Finally here!! LG C5 OLED 55 inch. Been a longtime dream of mine to watch films and play games on an OLED screen

Had to get a PS5 after that State of Play and pair up with the LG OLED TV. Can't wait to replay some of my favourite games with the PS5 version and also have first time experience with other games (God of War Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, Elden Ring)

Singin' In the Rain. God damn. First film on my new TV and I was blown away. Visually stunning of course but Gene Kelly was just incredible. Easily one of the best films ever made and I now wish I'd watched it in the cinemas.

Watched Blow Out and finished Ori today. Blow Out might be my favourite De Palma.

Finally got the time to use my PS5. It's been 6 years and man I forgot how fun Spider-Man was. I tried switching to fidelity mode from 60 fps and 30 fps feels unbelievably sluggish now. With unlocked frame rate and VRR this game is as smooth as ever.

Finished Silent Hill 2 Remake. Special game obviously but what enamoured me was the symbolism and metaphor conveyed mostly through environments, enemy design and gameplay loop. Cutscenes were few and effective. I just wish the levels weren't increasingly bloated since Hospital.
