Did you know that we have a Visiting Dance Artist Program that facilitates professional guidance to Canadian dance artists? Naishi Wang and Jean Abreu have finally had the opportunity work in person on their collaboration, Deciphers. We can’t wait to see the final piece!

Our dearest Cathy Levy is not yet at her swan song, but we now know when the curtain will fall on her brilliant career at National Arts Centre. Let’s enjoy NAC Dance’s program this season and the next. I will take it all in.

Remember when the NCC shut down a lemonade stand run by kids because they didn’t have a permit? Or when the city ordered a man to dismantle a skating rink in his own yard because his neighbour complained? Clearly this is a choice authorities are making to not enforce the law.

This is the first year I miss the Ottawa Fringe but I get to catch the last few days of FringeMontreal for the first time! I welcome the mix of French & English plays, something I would have liked to have seen more in Ottawa. And in true Fringe fashion, I have my highlighter ready!

Like many other online ticketing platforms, some vendors prefer passing costs to customers and making it more inconvenient for the user to purchase a digital ticket than a print ticket. This is the opposite of what technology was supposed to do 🤦🏻‍♀️
