While it’s the system that often gets music teachers down, it’s music that often gets young people successfully through the system. Music is important for so many important reasons.

It's great when schools invest and advocate for music education. Here I am upskilling the teachers Staplehurst School to support their focus on music for this term. I'll be going back in June to see how they got on embedding some of this new learning! Kent Music

Every young person should have the opportunity to sing in a choir, to learn a musical instrument, and to play in a music ensemble. Every young person should have the opportunity to experience the wonderful joys and benefits that come from making music with other people.

They’re not ‘just’ music lessons. For many young people, they’re the impetus that leads to a dramatic change in their academic & personal lives. Learning an instrument, and everything that comes with it, is a holistic learning & growth experience like no other. It’s essential.
