we need more south asian diaspora stories that aren't by american, canadian or british authors. there are so many south asian tales from the rest of europe, middle-east, australia, east + south-east asia, and africa waiting to be told —let's seek those experiences, those writers.

Yesterday, flash floods took over our bookshop basement, damaging hundreds of books. If you are able to help via our crowdfunder, or to spread the word about our emergency appeal, we would hugely appreciate any support that you can give at this time. bit.ly/3ASUjL3

A bad twitter day for me is when book folk come across as awful snobs. Happens too often. It's exactly why people don't engage with the world of books. No matter what the issue is, books are for everyone. Bookshops should be places that welcome debate and dialogue.
