Excellent evening Literary Atlas Wales event in Cardiff, after got through Senedd metal detectors! Really excellent artist responses to key books. All hosted superbly by #JonAnderson & team! Fine wine. And fine trip back, in spite of delays, with Dr Diana Beljaars. I was winner all round!
Thanks Literary Atlas Wales for a brill #cardiff launch of the touring exhibition. Literary Atlas Wales runs a website for ‘deep mapping of eng language novels set in Wales’ . They commissioned artists to respond to a chosen text. Head to @YPierhead for more, recommended! #celf #art
Prof Jon Anderson discussing the project with the Royal Institution of South Wales Swansea Museum. “This isn’t “the” literary atlas but “a” literary atlas of Wales”. #CartographicImaginaries
Great to see this @YPierhead & Assembly Wales! As Prof Anderson said, this is exactly the kind of accessible study which unlocks the histories, landscapes & stories of Wales in line with our new & exciting curriculum.
Also refer to Literary Atlas Wales which plots English language novels written by writers in Wales. It is an excellent interactive online resource. Great to visit the places where novels are set. Kieron Smith #amwalking #writing
