Over the last two days Aryaan has walled 7.4 miles/11.9 km to and from our favourite beach, stopping to look at the swans. We also created a new unit of measument called an Aryaan (AR), which we used to measure how fast the tide came in. Mrs B Roberts

Den building and team work. We are currently doing a lot of work on how changing the words or tone of something you say can make a big difference to how the other person hears it. Mrs B Roberts

We sat down and made up stories, discussed myths & legends and then Aryaan gave us a lecture on why the ripples under the water could not be a plesiosaur *spoiler alert, it's because they are air breathers so would need to pop their heads above water (I am told) 😂 Mrs B Roberts

Aryaan really wants to know all about the stone age (because that's the closest humans ever got to dinosaurs) so we went to St fagans. He was interested in the roundhouse because it was not raised off the ground. He thinks it must be an older version than our friends. Mr Howe

We explored our local area and Aryaan mapped out our street and surroundings. Mr Howe

A bit of nature study. Aryaan likes dry moss but not wet. I'm surprised he touched it at all. If he sees any mushrooms he thinks it's hilarious to shout 'there is a fungus among us'. Mr Howe

This week we are really concentrating on learning the story of Diwali ready for celebrations on Saturday Mr Howe

A very outdoorsy week building dens, learning fire safety and playing with friends Mr Howe

Two fantastic things happened for Aryaan this week. His first drum lesson (in Welsh) and he picked up his friends book and got totally lost in it. It took him ten minutes to notice everyone else had moved on to the park 😂 Mr Howe

We have been making the most of the last few days of autumn this week Mr Howe

Aryaan made Grandma's Welsh cakes completely unaided. He was rather proud of himself (they were delicious) Mr Howe

The icy mornings have been lots of fun. Mr Howe

Aryaan has been recording the temperature morning, noon and night and plotting it on his graph. Mr Howe

Other random things from our week. A trip to the neolithic burial chamber. He is loving doubling and halving. We have found a book that may have been written specifically for Aryaan Mr Howe

Aryaan has decided that the forest is his favourite place Mr Howe

He is loving making lapbooks about all the different things we have been learning about Mr Howe

I think he is planning to live in the wild. He currently is mastering tool making. He has made a spear and axe Mr Howe
