It is so fucking dystopian that the answer I keep seeing to "why shouldn't we ban cell phones in schools" is "so kids can text their parents that they love them if there's a school shooter"

SCREENWRITING TIP: Don't underestimate the power of making a bunch of crazy shit happen in your screenplay. It will likely make readers more engaged

I've always loved my short script "84". Because it is a short--I think I'm allowed to love every word. And I love that Thomai Hatsios is going to direct it and help get it made. So it's super cool to get to the QF's Outstanding Screenplays shorts competition.

On a plane to Nashville! The Nashville Film Festival is this weekend, and I couldn't be more excited. As a finalist, I get a free badge, and the programming all looks amazing. Plus a table read and a pitch competition. I find that film festivals are such a great way to make networking fun!
