We got some neighborhood funds together and we are opening a community cooling center and a program to help our low income neighbors get into some movies to stay cool.

Thank you Commish-elect @vincejonesdixon for hosting a community townhall about policing, HB4002, and how we’re going to navigate this new drug enforcement system, knowing we don’t have the resources in place to “deflect” everyone. Many CBO’s serving BIPOC felt left out of plans

Our neighborhood team got $10,000 from Portland Parks & Rec to register people for the free tree program. 2 free yard trees for homes and businesses. We are working hard to bring much needed shade to East Portland. Nobody tell them but I probably would have done it for free. 🤫

Had a great morning with Solve, Hazelwood neighbors, and members of Division Midway Business Association cleaning up around 122nd & Burnside and the Menlo Park Save Rest Village. I found out Trimet contractors take the money to clean up but then claim they are too afraid to work.

Many of Portlands city council candidates toured various PCEF sites today. I had the honor of welcoming everyone to Centennial for the 1st project. @ZengerFarms, Street Roots, Verde for a community solar project for low income residents. Thank you Portland Clean Energy Fund Coalition and 350PDX.

We had over 400 people out to our Concert in the Park. I got to warn up the crowd and thank our amazing partners @portlandparks @dmatheway @thriveeastpdx @pdx_311. I had great time signing people up for free trees, and trying to give away as many free TriMet hop cards as I could.

This story has so many parts of why Portland fails to house those in need. No one responsible for tracking or coordinating. Federal dollars spent without accountability. Laws passed but never enforced. Agencies confused and impotent. No community outreach. wweek.com/news/2024/08/0…

Here I am, six years ago, pushing for the same things Portland needs today. I am one of the few candidates that has been fighting for Portland long before I was running, and I will still be fighting for Portland long after I leave office.

If you know anyone with questions or considering it but unsure, please have them contact me. I have been committed to helping us get more young, working class, and BIPOC members to run for local office. We should always be working to raise up the next generation of leaders.

Although I was not a musician like my father he has always been an inspiration to me. When I was younger he was one of the organizers of the Portland John Lennon Memorial Canned Food Concert to benefit the Portland Sunshine Division. Imagine there’s no hunger.

The neighborhood had a “Free Tree” event scheduled in our local Freddy’s parking lot. Since no of us would ever cross a picket line we ended up at the abandoned bank across the street. We had some extra ice cream I was able to run across to the striking workers. We stand together

Great meeting of the Centennial Community Association. We are growing and there may be an opportunity for us to take on a community space soon. Thank you to @steph4eastpdx for being the only candidate (other than me) to make it out to one of D1’s most populous neighborhoods.

I was one of many candidates invited to CHAT by Portland Fire Bureau. It was informative and important for candidates to know about. For the city to cancel the PSR meeting because “the city doesn’t want to be political” is the city being REALLY political. wweek.com/news/2024/10/0…

Started out the night with our Centennial community parade. This is one of my favorite school board activities. I get to run around handing out candy and thanking families for their support. This is just part of supporting our young adults and showing up for them!

Thank you Multnomah County Democrats for hosting D1 candidates tonight. I’ve been a PCP for 15 years and have worked hard to get our platform and resolutions passed into law. We have many fake Dems out there and people should look for the candidates who show up every year, even when not running.

If only the Oregonian endorsements started with “This is our best chance to fight back reform…”, the rest of their inconsistent and backwards logic would make more sense. That’s why they support “law & order” candidates that selfishly break the law and violate election rules.
