“The truth is #ClimateChange is wreaking havoc faster than we can respond,” said Samantha Power at the World Food Prize Foundation Borlaug Dialogue. “The course we are on is unsustainable…The potential is almost too dark to imagine. But we do have a path out of the darkness.” #FoodPrize22

“As Norman Borlaug said, the ability to feed people in this world isn’t just something we ought to do, it’s a world calling we should engage in,” said Secretary Tom Vilsack during the World Food Prize Foundation #BorlaugDialogue closing remarks. #FoodPrize22

“We need to reduce the risk for farmers,” Secretary Tom Vilsack said at World Food Prize Foundation. “It’s difficult to ask them to embrace new ways and change if there’s a cost associated with it, if there isn’t an associated benefit besides just the environment.”

That big head in the back is me. Great opportunity! Exciting to hear even though she is focused on climate change and works at NASA she started as a farmer and still works to make sure practices still work to support farmer’s’ livelihoods.

I’m in the front right seat to the right of the screen in the balcony. What an experience and blessing being a part of #foodprize22. We loved meeting Dr Rosenzweig and the time she took to make sure we felt we had a seat at the table for making positive changes!
