Learning engagement. Linking how we express ourselves as an invitation to represent how pumpkins look to us. Some students went ahead and represented feelings turning the pumpkins into Jack-o-Lanterns. 🎃

We are certainly risk takers! Playing with the pumpkin seeds was not very inviting, more like intimidating for all the kids. We tried to make it more fun adding water and the strainers but still didn’t provoke enough curiosity. We decided adding ice to the mix and we got them in

My pumpkin is feeling happy because she likes to dance. This learning engagement invited to represent a feeling and express what lead to that feeling. The kids were very reflective and found interesting to share like “my pumpkin is happy because she is dancing”.

We started How We Express Ourselves unit with a clay provocation. This was an integration with the Art dept. We aim to have a unit closure by presenting a gallery and performance by kids integrating with the Music depart too. We are excited to bring parents in to celebrate

Looking into ideas how our 3 year olds could deep into the design process. I did it in PK2, first making a 2D design, then going into the building process. We did superhero costumes and 3D recycling sculptures. I am struggling to bring it down a bit. Help please @design

Our designed based on shape compositions are coming to a new dimension! We haven’t decided the final product yet. Will we paint them, will we just decorate the board, we will discuss later on. We might revisit the picture draft and make a second try adding more details.
