Lovely truth expressed in this window in St John’s Balmain where I’m conducting a quiet day for brethren and companions of the Oratory of the Good Shepherd. The Saviour ‘beholds’ the city...of Sydney

How blessed I am. I returned to find two of the brothers living in the house eating together and then cooking food for any who come tomorrow, then Compline sung together in church. Sometimes the silence is deep here.

Can Melbourne be so wonderful? My Columbian house resident who has very little money, works so hard, not least for the Lord has had a second bike stolen in as many months. So irritating and frustrating and expensive..

Tuna melt sandwich, at the Lamb and Flag on Sydney Rd. Tuna with dill and caper mayo with tomato, red onion and melting tasty cheese. With sweet potato crisps.

So Bendigo Bank is pulling the plug on the provision of services to hard pressed charities. No more salary sacrifice cards or facilities provided for workers. No notification given to cardholders. No grace period. "The biggest thing we do is to do the right thing" No you don't!
