This is so true. We need to support people in their loss whether it be personal illness, death, or divorce/estrangement. Rugged at my heartstrings. Thank you Carla for sharing.

Opinion: Baby boomers helped reclaimed childbirth from the clutches of medicine and restored birthing as a natural part of life. It's now time to reclaim the other edge of life. buff.ly/2QDq1Hz

A doctor gave me false hope about my dad’s cancer survival. It made his death much more devastating. “No one alerted me to the real possibility that he might not survive” #hpm washingtonpost.com/health/a-docto…

My grandmother, a 5’3” formidable white woman, had and wore the long dashiki in the ‘70s. Ahead of her time she was. I am hopeful I can also be given grace to own and wear an African print.

In Nov 2017 I was told I had ALS and should prepare to die. By 2018 I had decided to fight with every single breath. This is the trailer for what happened next. I hope you like it, will share it with everyone and get ready to change the world. Good night moon.

A man wanting to jump off a bridge in London was talked down by strangers who held him for an hour until help arrived. Look at that grip. Look at the care, compassion, selflessness, and determination shown by strangers to a hurting human being. We need more of this in the world.

Saw a quote this morning that said “speak to people in a way that if they died the next day you’d be satisfied with the last thing you said to them.” Felt that.
