Just returned from another successful field trip to Kent Is., this time with Joey, adding to our long-term study of Savannah sparrows. @hwilsonguelph, @SDobney2, Linda Nong, MikaylaB are doing a wonderful job. We have a high density of breeders this year!

Only well-mannered birds are allowed at the table! After eating, a bird will 'feak', cleaning and wiping it on a surface like Elle is doing here. This behaviour is only done when they feel comfortable enough in their environment or have a good trust account with their trainer!

Helped out with Justine Kaseman's research project yesterday and learned how to radio track salamanders! Jefferson salamanders are currently endangered due to urbanization and this project is important for helping understand where their migratory routes pass through.

Currently up at Lucky Peak in Boise, ID, for a fall season of songbird banding! Can't complain about these spectacular views 😍
