So it turns out that audio latency in macos is so mindboggingly low that I get an overall better experience playing osu lazer on my mac than a damn 5090/9800X3D PC can with windows, even with the wasapi feature on. The hitsound itself is delayed on windows even with offsets

got less than an hour into last of us 1 dlc before i went and uninstalled. if i was told it happened during the main game timeline it would have been more bearable but for some reason my brain is wired in a way i often lose interest in a game as soon as i finish main story

even if i know dlc/expansions are good and/or directly a continuation of canon story, i am unable to be interested and i feel so bad for it. in terms of last of us part 1 it was just a backstory with a lot of really uninteresting character intractions to me, and outcome is fixed
