I think it's probably not right to claim the NHS "coped with the first wave of covid". Yes, we avoided a triage situation of choosing between covid patients for the last ICU bed. But that was bought at the cost of stopping everything else. That's not coping, it's redistributing.

The logistics and cost of pay and display parking are bad enough as a patient or when rushing a child to A&E but the fact that NHS staff have to pay on a daily basis is infuriating. There must be a way round it, it’s not right.

A lot of discussion about maternity care so I will now air a frustration If a person was in hospital for any other reason other than LABOUR/BIRTH/SECTION would they be expected to endure the levels of pain women in those situations are?

Yet another maternity services scandal, this time at Nottingham. Surely when 41% of maternity units don’t measure up to CQC standards the blame and solution is not just local but at a national level. Policy must change, we must train and recruit enough staff, esp midwives.
