John Cleese I worked for Severn Trent Water pre and post privatisation. I witnessed the enforced change of culture from helpful, environmental protection, water saving, focused on improving infrastructure to Profit profit profit, just do the minimum to satisfy the (weak) regulator.

South Western Water guilty of supplying parasite laden water, unfit for human consumption. 150 affected. Those same victims now face a 30%+ bill hike for that privilege. Fortunately for SW Water it didn’t affect the £2.8bn in profit made from us all last year. Phew.
