If you are a PhD student in microbial interactions or natural products that is displaced by this political bullshit and looking for a new lab, I have room for one (or potentially two) PhD students in my group in the fall when I move to UW. Feel free to reach out via email.

It’s very rare, but sometimes I wish someone would suggest me for an award. Doesn’t have to be anything flashy - I don’t even have to win it. Although I tell you, I would cherish a “you’re surely hanging in there” award. Can be modeled after this:

"There are no Amish with autism" There are "Vaccines aren't tested against placebo" They are "MMR has never been studied as a possible cause of autism" It has. It's not the cause. I apparently need to say this stuff over and over and over and over again. And again.

How do #lichens attach to the substrate? How do #holdfast or #rhizines appear? The main types of attachment are illustrated in the new panel of the Handbook of Lichenology at ial-lichenology.org/wp-content/upl… and examples of the variation between species will be shown on following plates.
