Great to welcome Doug Johnstone Holy Rood RC HS for the 2nd of his academic writing workshops courtesy of Royal Literary Fund. Sixth Years can gain a real insight into what University writing might involve; such an advantage before they take on dissertation creation here @ Holyrood!

So we have a new Book Group Holy Rood RC HS created with the aim of judging the 6 #YoungSciBooks. The first meeting was enthusiastic to say the least and we're really looking forward to reading the books that The Royal Society have gifted us. So many different subjects covered!

So proud of the contribution that Holy Rood RC HS made to the Edinburgh Remakery collection here Holy Rood Library. Parents, pupils staff all dug deep to find lots of old tech to donate....apparently some of this stuff will end up in newly minted coins. How great is that?!?!

So as we all know Holy Rood RC HS, normally Ms. McCabe's favourite day is #WorldBookDay but there's also a lot to be said for our Culture Day. Great to see so many of our regular library users taking part in what is a truly inclusive event. Keep well, keep happy, keep reading!

I have been so impressed this exam diet with the amount of 4th year pupils Holy Rood RC HS studying every day in the Library for their upcoming exams SQA. It's absolutely admirable, guys. Good luck to you all!

Our pop-up project for 12-16 year olds is back this term for 2 sessions! Join us in Castlebrae on Tue 4 & 11 June 3.30-5.50pm. We've done zine making, puppetry, creative writing, tabletop games, made films and sound effects! What will happen this time?? #ExpressYourself

What a great session with Jono Lancaster this lunchtime in the Library Holy Rood RC HS. The pupils loved meeting a real live author and he took time to sign jotters, free books, anything! And thanks Jono for showing us what is really important in life. You're a legend.
