"I almost cried because it made me so happy!" said a kindergarten student today during our Then and Now lesson about some Sylvan Park students who planted a little magnolia tree in 1958. Because of them, our entire community gets to enjoy today!

I walked away from today's PD day with a head full of ideas, a heart full of inspiration and a book that I'm excited to read (just as soon as I can get it out of my daughter's hands!). Thank you MNPSLibraryServices and John Schu!

It's been lots of fun to watch the library bulletin board fill up with everyone's summer reads!

Happy tears in the library! Reading Madeline Finn and the Library Dog with a first grade class and we got to the big climax of the story (puppies!). One little boy, eyes streaming with tears, says, "Ms. C, I'm so happy that I think I'm crying?! What is happening to me?!"

We love using Limitless Libraries databases to research! Today, we learned about squid and octopuses in third grade and chose our favorites.

We had so much fun celebrating #HispanicHeritageMonth in the library this week learning about the legendary el chupacabras!
