[He returned the hug, arms drawing the priest even closer to him.] I love you, Pandreo.

Alear wasn’t really sure what to say anymore, looking right back into Pandreo’s eyes. So instead of words, he leaned up to kiss him, soft and sweet.

“I like that idea.” He looked around for a moment, before nodding to himself and tugging Pandreo’s hand, trying to get him to come along as he made his way over to the orchard. Nobody else was around.

He laughed, leaning back against a tree, pulling Pandreo in close to him for another kiss.

When he finally, painstakingly broke the kiss, he looked into Pandreo’s eyes for a moment, breathless. He couldn’t believe this was all real. It felt like a dream. He sat down against the tree, tugging Pandreo’s hand to invite him down with him.

“What’s to come?”

And then suddenly— “Lend us your song, Emblem of Thorns!”

Right. He’d somehow forgotten about everything else going on around them for a moment. “It won’t be easy, but we’ll get the rings. We won’t let Sombron win.”

Suddenly, from the red beam of light projecting from the orb in the lute, Alear materialized before Locke. “I'm the Divine Dragon Alear! I will serve you as best I... Hold on. How did you summon me without a ring?”

He was a bit confused, but he’d figure that out later. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Locke. How can I help?”

He put his hand out for Locke to shake. “I would be honored to join your cause, in order to protect this world and Elyos alike. How is it possible for them to invade other worlds, though?”

He nodded along. “I’ll do whatever I can to help out!”

Alear turned back, hearing his summoner’s voice. “Oh, hello, Locke! To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit today?”
