Oh Swansea 🦢 Closed off a big chapter of my life with my MRes #graduation a few weeks back, but forever grateful for the opportunities, friends, and memories I made along the way 💚 Swansea University @swanscience

NEW BLOG 📢 Manx #shearwaters are the most numerous, and arguably noisiest, resident on #Skomer. Yet many of our visitors will never see one, because these beautiful birds are only active on the island at night 🌙 1/3 Lewis Fisher-Reeves WildlifeTrustSWWales 🦡🐬 Wildlife Trusts Wales The Wildlife Trusts

Great last day of #CorkSeabirds conference! Brilliant talks from Patrick Lewin and Lewis Fisher-Reeves on Balearic shearwaters from the Oxnav group, and Katrina Siddiqi-Davies was highly commended for her poster on Manxies!!

Great to be talking about Balearics and climate change at #CorkSeabirds 🌊🐦 with Lewis Fisher-Reeves showing how it’s done just minutes later! Katrina Siddiqi-Davies, Paris Jaggers and Joe Wynn made the poster session a highlight 🐧

And that concludes my first ever scientific conference! Huge thank you to The Seabird Group for making #CorkSeabirds so special, and to all the people who came to chat about my work after my talk! Can’t wait to catch you all at the next one 🐦🐧

A very nice start to my week at PBO Portland Bird Observatory .Wryneck ringed by Central Oxford Ringing Group Central Oxford Ringing Group on their visit this week after being trapped by Martin Cade in the Crown Estate Field. Nice to see them again, keeping the hours of trapping in the garden going.

Big congrats to my pal, Joe Morford, (who is now an official scientist) on his first paper as lead author! 👾🐦🧠 Watching him build this network was some serious wizardry, go check it out! 🧙🏼📈

Just back from a brilliant 8 days on Skokholm Island deploying Ornitela GPS-GSM devices on Manx shearwaters with Lewis Fisher-Reeves. The remote-download capacity of the devices has been really exciting to explore. People, birds and sky-watching made for an awesome week

We've had a group of 13 young people on the island this week as part of a Black2Nature residential. They met moths, saw seals and Skomer Voles and even held Manx Shearwater chicks. Thanks to the leaders and young people for a good few days.

The #NorthernLights seen off the Copeland Islands in Belfast Bay ✨ Manx shearwater research has never looked so incredible 🐦 Copeland Bird Obs.
