In our game Friday versus Lenox, Lexi Shike tied the school record for most rebounds in a game with 21! Record previously was set by Paige Kreager. Congratulations, Lex!

Last night in our W at East Union, Lexi Shike grabbed 22 rebounds, breaking the #nvgirlshoops single game record of 21 held by Lexi and Paige Kreager. Lexi has had 2 games of 21 rebounds this season and finally snagged the record (in less than 3 qtrs played). Well done, #31!

This Friday, #nvgirlshoops hosts Southeast Warren at 6pm and its senior night. Although not our last home game (hopefully that’s much, much later in the season), we will honor these three wonderful humans for everything they have meant to our program, school, and community.

The postseason is upon us and with it comes postseason awards. Congratulations to Lexi Shike for being recognized by the Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association (IGCA) as a member of the All-Academic Basketball Team for the 2020-2021 season. Nodaway Valley Well done, #31!

Tonight WE pulled out a win in OT over South Central Calhoun, 61-58. Jr G maddax.devault led all scorers with 21, Fr G Lindsey Davis scored 19, Sr F Lexi Shike had 9, Sr G Macy Kuhns had 6, Sr C Corinne Bond had 4 and it’s on to the next. TOGETHER we found a way!

A few updated records, through 22 games: Lexi Shike has set a new school record for total rebounds in a season with 284. The record of 283 was originally set by Paige McElfish during the 2016-2017 season.

Wish we played tonight, but got to celebrate some awesomeness. Lexi Shike was awarded the Iowa Bankers Student Athlete Achievement Award and maddax.devault was selected to the IGHSAU 2A All-Tourney team. Two phenomenal young women recognized for their hard work. So proud!
