Excited to present findings from my first PhD project with Martin Hebart and Katharina Dobs at #CCN2024 If you're into visual cortex, functional selectivity, and/or representational dimensions, make sure to stop by poster P154 today! 🧠🌈
Tuesday 27th (11:30 Aussie time) I'll share some initial results on my project on neural representations in the macaque visual system. Work with Martin Hebart & others. Check out my talk if you're at biomag2024. And I'll be around in Sydney until 10th Sept if you want to chat!
Why do varied DNN designs yield equally good models of human vision? Our preprint with Mick Bonner shows that diverse DNNs represent images with a shared set of latent dimensions, and these shared dimensions turn out to also be the most brain-aligned. arxiv.org/abs/2408.12804
Apply now for a 3-year postdoc position in the lab! Please retweet and share with potential candidates. If you're interested in #vision, #EEG, #fMRI, and working with a fun team at the Universität Gießen, feel free to get in touch before applying. Link: uni-giessen.de/de/ueber-uns/k…
Hugely excited that this work with Martin Hebart and Chris Baker is now out in Nature Human Behaviour !!! By moving from a category-focused to a behaviour-focused model, we identified behaviourally relevant object information throughout visual cortex. nature.com/articles/s4156…
How does our brain allow us to make sense of our visual world? Work led by Oliver Contier w/ Chris Baker now out in Nature Human Behaviour provides support for a theoretical framework of behaviorally-relevant selectivity beyond high-level categorization. 🧵 x.com/OliverContier/…
🧵Join us for a short tour of how a large-scale MEG dataset collected during active vision made us question it all. New work with Carmen Amme Philip Sulewski Eelke Spaak 🦋 @EelkeSpaak.bsky.social Martin Hebart Peter König biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Our review on the theoretical status of oscillations and field potentials is out! What are their causal effects, and what can electrophysiology signals reveal about how the brain works? w/ Dan Levenstein Matt Krause Bradley Voytek Richard Gao cell.com/trends/cogniti…
