Our second graders turned science into an adventure while learning about the properties of materials like texture, flexibility, and absorbency. After a pretend boat trip “shipwreck,” students made it to a deserted island. They needed to design & build sun-protective hats!

The 2027 Close Up trip planning is underway! There will be a meeting on Sunday, January 25 at 1:00 for any current LHS Sophomore interested in participating!

The One Act Play gave a public performance of Marjorie Daw yesterday to a full house at the Palace Theater. Wishing them good luck at Wednesday's compeitition in Timber Lake. Thank you to our community for your great support of all of our students!

Our second graders are working hard to master their math facts. "The Minus Man" was a recent activity to help them with their subtraction skills.

The Lemmon School District will be starting school 2 hours late today, Wednesday, Jan 21 due to low visibility and expected increased wind speeds.

The third graders got to enjoy a brain break after working hard on a writing assignment. Let's get those bodies moving after all that hard thinking!

The 5th graders are reading the book "The Boys War" by Jim Murphy. One of the activities they are doing is to complete a map of the United States from the 1800s.

The JH Boys Basketball LMC Tournament will be held in Faith on Saturday, Jan 31 beginning at 9 AM!

The third graders are learning about South Dakota and each drew their own map of the state.

FFA had a great day at the FFA Day at the Black Hills Stock Show! The students listened to different industry speakers and took part in interactive workshops. Thanks to all the sponsors and the industry representatives that invested their time in FFA members!

The One Act cast & crew will be presenting a "Fun-Run Parady" of their play Marjorie Daw on Sunday, Feb 8 at 4:00 at the Theatre. Stop down before the Super Bowl and be entertained by this wonderful group of students!

Students in Mrs. Penfield's class have been learning all about Space in their current reading unit. After exploring people's different points of view in the book "Moonshot", students created a tableau (silent "living picture") for one of the events from the mission.
