Over 80 ministers, 130 countries, and 1k survivors, advocates, and youth are here in Bogotá, Colombia, and we share the same vision for the future: #EveryChildProtected. We've already heard some exciting announcements from the Ministerial including:

.Jenny Chapman with the United Kingdom announced £5 million in new funding to end child marriage.

The CEO of The Children's Investment Fund Foundation, Kate Hampton announced $125 million investment in ending violence against children. She says, "We can break this intergenerational cycle of violence but we must break it in THIS generation.”

We're thrilled to see this investment in ending violence against children! We know how to prevent and end this kind of violence, and we KNOW it will take transparent and transformative investments.

.USAID DAA Bama Athreya shared the USG’s pledge and commitments to the Global Ministerial’s goal of #EveryChildProtected at home and abroad. We’ll work hard to ensure the USG actualizes these promises in the coming years. The pledge has 5 main points summarized below:

2. Informal Care Systems Development ➡️ Investments in evidence and data-gated education. ➡️ Strengthening the social service workforce. ➡️ Enhancing the capacity of civil servants and community partners.

3. Safe Environments for Children ➡️ Promoting access to secure and caring environments as part of humanitarian assistance. ➡️ Emphasis on preventing family separation. ➡️ Creating violence-free and inclusive spaces for children in crises.

4. Digital Safety Initiatives ➡️ Prevention of digitally-enabled harm. ➡️ Creation of safer online environments for youth and adults.

5. Partnerships and Collaborations ➡️ Support for state, local, and non-governmental partners in the U.S. ➡️ Commitment to partnerships with allied governments globally. ➡️ Participation in a global declaration to end violence against children.
