Mystery solved on origins of this Nottingham #lace design thanks to Donna sharing pic of a pod from a Sweet Gum tree. Anyone know if there's any of these #trees in Nottingham arboretum park ? It's where trainee lace designers got ideas #seeds #Nottinghamlace #fashionhistory

The #platinumjubilee2022 party is in full flow & here's the last of the commemorative #lace I've found in my Great Grandfather's Nottingham lace pattern book from 1930's. A little treasure reminding us of events which made Elizabeth our #QueenElizabeth. #fashionhistory

I love these playful animal repeats within the #1930's Levers #lace #pattern book which belonged to my Great Grandfather Thomas Stocks. He started his lace business at Jardines Mill, Draycott, Derbyshire England early 1900s #textiles #Nottingham
