Good morning #AncestryHour, wherever in the world you are. It just started raining here so I guess I'll have to stay inside and research.

IGRS Top Research Tip #54: Glasnevin Cemeteries Trust’s website records virtually all Catholic burials in Dublin since 1828: 1.5 million! It’s free to search, but needs credits (€/£/$) to see full data. shorturl.at/tvwIP #Glasnevin **PLEASE FOLLOW, LIKE & SHARE**

Imaging figuring out the tone of an ancestor's voice based on triangulated DNA. Not that different from guessing eye color I suppose. Then give that info to an AI for voice production layering in regional accents, and have it read aloud preserved letters home.

Good morning #AncestryHour, wherever in the world you are. Getting close to The Big Day, our first child's wedding. Already making excellent progress on bride's ancestry which is considerably more varied than mine.

My 3xggf William Devlin was born in "northern Ireland" and married in Galway 10 Jan 1843. This week a new DNA match pointed me to a specific parish in which to look for my Devlins, that's work still underway. Question is, will there be any records to check? #AncestryHour

Ancestry has a new collection, 'Northern Ireland, Valuation Revision Books, 1864-1933' ancestry.co.uk/search/collect…. The records are already online (for free!) on the PRONI website, but this is the first time they have been indexed by name. #AncestryHour

A family member found an old photo that may prove an old family legend: Phoebe Ann Moses aka Annie Oakley and my gma's great aunt, supposedly gave them money to start a restaurant during the Depression. Found this photo of my gpa. #AncestryHour

Good morning #AncestryHour, wherever in the world you are. This was a big week here, my son got married! It was a joining of Irish, English, Dutch, German, Polish, Norwegian, Japanese, and Italian descendants. Lots of new family stories to hunt down.

Everybody knows to take Irish birth dates with a grain of salt, but poor Jeremiah couldn't pass as 57 to the Boston undertaker and earned the "Alleged Age" stamp of shame. Looking bad for your age *when you're dead* is a new low. In fact he was 64.

IrishGenealogy.ie is back up. The site still shows a message on the home page that they're having technical difficulties, but ignore that and click on the menu bar to search whatever records you want. The interface flow is a bit different but it works. #IrishGenealogy

Please, can somebody give a shot at translating this baptismal record from Italian to English? This looks suspiciously verbose (and it's just the lower free-form half of the record)... (source 1887 from Castiglione Chiavarese, Genova, Liguria, Italy. FHL #005513035, image 194)

I'm pretty sure it only looks like he's marrying his sister in 1880, Worcester Mass. Half the marriages on this page involved at least one person born in Ireland. Of marriages involving Irish, 2/3 were Ire/Ire and 1/3 were Ire/Am, more intermarriage than other immigrant groups.

Bloody hell - A #tornado watch for the whole of #Ireland, western & southern #Scotland. I don't recall ever experiencing this in Ireland before, but I could have missed it. The weather of your youth is over.
