For the morning crowd: Retweet this before 9:00 PM EDT on Sunday, February 20th (TONIGHT!) and I'll pick three random winners. Each will receive a Jackie Robinson Topps card signed by the guy who painted it (me)!

Happy 91st Birthday to the great Willie Mays! Here on May 24, 1951, the Say Hey Kid is in Omaha getting a plane ticket to fly to NYC to make his MLB debut the next day. Playing for Minneapolis Millers, Mays was tearing it up hitting .477 in 35 games with 8 HRs and 30 RBIs

The reason why Red Sox fans are so pissed even after four titles is simple. You can't make Papi go year to year then pay Pablo and Hanley. You can't not pay Lester then pay Price. You can't trade Mookie for an unsatisfactory return. You can't pay Story and not pay Xander.

Sad to report that my friend Bill Reynolds passed away this morning. This is a remembrance from a few years ago, the themes still ring true. #RIP Shooter kevinmcsports.com/featured/thats…

Give the Providence fans credit today. They came out, drank a lot, booed Cooley relentlessly, and it doesn't appear any of them crossed a line. And they got to see a Providence win over Cooley's Hoyas. Good day in Friartown.

A little story for you: The Red Sox had one photo in their clubhouse for many years, an old black-and-white shot of Johnny Pesky, who gave decades of service to the franchise as a player, coach, manager and advisor.

With Joe Castiglione retiring from the booth a part of all of New England just died a little bit. He is one of the first things I think about when I think of the Red Sox and one of the best things. His voice just reminds me of summer and baseball in New England.
