Actually a cool idea!! I would assume that there is a customer base (small and mighty) that would pay a premium for these extra choices / white glove service in food delivery. Merchants could charge a higher price based on the increased delivery times etc.

My friends will pay a ~2x premium on a nighttime, short ride (<$30) to be in driverless car because of the personal safety benefits. Recently rode in one myself, and was blown away. Excited to see where this goes!
