@ajshackman Luiz Pessoa I think this is exactly right. NIH is not set up to fund cross-species work. Proposals that include more than one species has been nearly all “ND” that I’ve seen in study section or as lead investigator. R1 dislikes one species, R2 the other, and R3 their linkages.
