61% of 10 to 17-year-old girls in the UK have low self-esteem (Dove, 2017). LEAD aims to increase the confidence of these vulnerable young people through increasing their self-awareness, integrity & courage.

'LEAD from Home' . LEAD is a course which allows people to step into a new narrative. To know that they are a leader, they are someone that influences, they can be a young person with integrity, courage, self awareness, knowing that they can transform this city.

'Leading from Home: Myth Buster' . You don't have a big social media following, you're not famous, rich or powerful. You don’t come from the ‘right’ background, have the ‘right’ job or the ‘right’ achievements. Does this mean you're not a leader?

'Leading from Home: Failure is Fruitful' . The times that we fail can actually make us into great leaders, if we respond to them well.

'Lead from Home: Everyone is a Leader' . We need to recognise that, firstly, we are all leaders, secondly, we are all different which means that there are different styles of leading. Don’t try and be someone else. Be yourself!

We recognise its hard to know how to lead at the moment. But we're here to help. Now is a great opportunity for us to lead out of kindness. We will be posting different ideas of how you can be a kind leader this semester. Could you give a neighbour some flowers, a card?

Lets lead out of kindness! . Theres so many great foodbanks around the city, they need non perishable food to help people that cannot afford their food from the shops. Do you have spare jars or tins in your cupboard you could drop off at a local foodbank?

Lead out of kindness... . Who do you know that could benefit from a gift? Is your parent or carer, your sibling, your friend in need of a gift?

Lead out of kindness... . When you go to school could you bring an extra treat and share it with your friend?

Lead out of kindness... . We have have skills, really great and useful skills. You might have a skill that your friend doesn't have. Could you help share that skill, teach them how to do it, help them. Can you do maths equations quickly, could you teach your friend how to do it?

Lead out of kindness... . We all have so many things we do with our time. So are useful and good for us and the people around us. Some aren't so much. Could you put something aside to take up something?

Lead out of kindness... . Who in school is always sitting on their own? Who is a bit more shy? Who could you catch up with in your year?
