Megan’s poster is about developing a min bladder scanner volume for pelvic patients carrying out bladder prep to allow them to continue to their planning CT scan. This is now practiced in the dept and is helping reduce the overall radiation dose to patients! #BIRTO23

Today is World Radiography Day! NHS Tayside Radiotherapy Department (Level 2) therapeutic radiography team provides external beam radiotherapy & HDR brachytherapy. Our therapeutic radiographers are involved in patient positioning, CT scans, dosimetry planning, data entry, external beam treatment and imaging.

Ellen, one of our Senior Radiographers is in the latest cohort of the amazing Prostate Cancer UK Clinical Champions Programme which is an amazing opportunity, to work on a project within the Department that will directly improve prostate cancer care for our patients.
